Born of Quality Carpentry
Country Living, in the idyllic Westerwald between Frankfurt and Cologne, was founded in 1985 to offer meaningful work to young people facing difficult life situations.
The vision began in Canada, where young carpenter Burkhard Wendel met art and literature student Diane, his future wife. For over 37 years, their family-run company has been crafting premium home accessories and designer furniture for the upscale market.
Burkhard continues a long carpenter tradition—his father, Alwin Wendel, developed a pull-out table element still in production since the 1960s. Today, Country Living adapts its use for contemporary home and office workspaces.
